So, rational minds have been calling for restraint, Sheylara herself has expressed some reticence apropos being dragged into this, in her own post on the game. “There’s no arguing with fools,” they say. Unfortunately, I already wrote this, but, more importantly, I find fools entertaining. Besides, why do people come here? Is it to read me propagating my ursine agenda, or to read me make a mockery of some poor sod? (Ehrm, if you do enjoy reading about how great bears are, I’m probably done with this, so I’ll likely post that tommorow.) Anyways, earlier on, I went and checked the blog linked to “Bernard”’s original post. I had expected the blog of an angsty young man, full of recollections of how “the system” had failed him, how he was kicked out of school (for cheating) and how his girlfriend, who had stood by him when he started gambling, who had stood by him when he got his fingers broken (for cheating), had finally stopped standing by him (for cheating). Turns out Bernard (no quotation marks), is just a normal bloke. I went to the High Scores list and there was only one guy with >70% ratio. I went to his blog, and he, too, is just a normal bloke. Disappointing, of course, there’s nothing like a blog to give one ammunition for days of entertainment. I briefly considered flaming either or both of them, just for fun, but that quickly flickered out. Habeas corpus and all that. Nomenclature aside – Obviously, typing “Bernard” is rather tedious. I was going to address him as “the Fool,” but the Fool is a Major Arcana, zero to the one of my own signifier, the Magician. Therefore, “Bernard” is henceforth known as “April”, along with the change in pronoun. Over the night, April went and replied on Cobalt Paladin’s, then on mine, then on Paladin’s again. uzyn, bless his heart, actually put $2000 down that he can sit down and score 500 points playing the game fairly. Paladin found out that – Just like to let everyone know that the real bernard oh has replied to my email that he was not the 'bernard' who left his comment here.Also, please note that 'Leong' and 'Bernard' who posted using blogger identity are the same person. Just click on the profile and note that the ID numbers are the same for both. Leong said... I think it is possible to cheat. Highlight copy paste and switch browser, fire and look at "KEYWORDS" then switch browser and select. I believe many are doing like that. No offence though but i think this is not call cheating since you have 10 seconds to you are allow to do anything within the 10 seconds so if you can find answers in 10 seconds, then u score, its fair. : ) April 03, 2008 1:52 AM Bernard said... That is true, but that’s like saying a surgeon and a kid who tortures animals are “cuttings things open”. Name-calling has to be done with panache. Otherwise one loses one’s place in the Ivory Tower upon the Moral High Ground. It has to be done upon provocation. Winning a game is not exactly casus belli. And calling a girl a bitch is just plain rude. Unless you’re black. So is April a case of another lost saw? I don’t think so. Who bothers to create a fake to speak to herself for the sole purpose of giving herself an opening for name-calling? Obviously, it’s personal. So who is April? A spurned suitor? A disgruntled employee? A stalker? A love rival? Oh, the scandal! While you ponder that, let’s bring up what April wrote on my blog. Come on, show me 1000 styles. I am sure there are more than 10 blogs? I don't believe for a second if they can cheat they wont. Especially people who are so sick in the mind to want to conquer top spot for nothing more than personal pleasure. You mean people who are willing to spend 6 hours clicking away and not thinking of how cheating can speed up the process of climbing? I dont believe you. I dont think you are that stupid. All of them are cheaters. Yes there are styles, there are patterns, but i do believe, that people wont do anything more to climb faster. Yes i believe if you score 10 points or 20 points. But those top 10, they are the winner of the most despicable bloggers who would do anything just for attention on that bloodie table.Well, firstly, I don’t think there are more than 50 blogs. Besides myself, others have shown that it’s not that hard to score, but April’s main point, which remains consistent throughout her now many posts on Paladin’s, is that “why wouldn’t you do it if you can?” A phrase, I’m sure, pedophiles tell themselves all the time. Which is why it’s hopeless to explain to someone who lacks proper upbringing that the reason we don’t cheat is because we don’t want to. That effort is it’s own reward. We can do little more than blame the parents. Come on, April, show us your blog. I’d gladly give you a few lessons in the fine art of Character Assassination.  As a mental exercise, I tried to imagine the ehrm, logic flow (?) for uzyn to code to bring the game back. Which would be – Treat each user’s game score as a ping (special case, either hidden or displayed under user stats), track score as pongs (code user statistics (total pings, total pongs) to ignore special case pings), use a duplicate set of the code used for the Most Popular (Day, Week, Month, Year). Basically, yeah. So all you people who want the game back can pool $2000 and bribe him, since it’ll take less time to code an ongoing game than it would to score 500 points on the game itself. Note that I’m saying this is how uzyn can codify it, in case anyone decides to pressure uzyn by saying that nocturne, King Pear, said that nocturne could do it, because I can’t. I’m not a programmer. I learned my code when Netscape 3.0 was cool and haven’t advanced since. I think the apex of web coding is a random generator (man, those are fun). Update :: This flow is wrong. Oops.
